#: 1-800-345-2550 >>> when michigan republicans came back after this last election and suddenly moved without warning to get rid of union rights in their state, one of the things that was so shocking about it was that they had not campaigned on doing that. that was not what this election was about in michigan. in fact, the republican governor of the state, rick snyder, said that he didn't want to do that. but they kim back after this election and they did it anyway. all of a sudden in a bit of a surprise attack. their cover, what they explained about why they felt justified doing it, was that michigan voters in this election had voted against a pro-union rights constitutional amendment. governor rick snyder explained that because the voters said no to an unrelated pro-union rights measure he felt that was a green light for him to strip union rights across the state. the logic is a stretch. but at least you can sort of follow it, right? well, now there's this. in the 2012 election, in this past election michigan voters also got to vote on governor snyder's emergency manager law, which

in michigan, i hope the governor of michigan would call on the president to ask his allies to behave in a civil and decent manner. there's no justification for people threatening violence. i think one of the democratic state senators in michigan said that thereai will be blood. what kind of comment is that from an elected official and why is it being tolerated? i always think the networks and the new york sometimes and others have a real obligation to cover union violence when it occurs and not hide it. i think you're raising a good point. it's one that we should be aggressive in demanding that the president call on his allies to exercise discipline and civility. >> sean: do you remember duringy the tea party rallies? you were speaking about the s media. the media would search high and low and they would be looking for something negative that the tea party movement was saying, and usually there were kids on their dads' shoulders and they'd hear patriotic speeches and say the pledge of allegiance and god bless america and leave the place cleaner than when they found it. i ask you thro

is as the weather got bad yesterday there was a bunch of warm air over lake michigan and that melted the snow and turned it into a nasty cold rain. they had the flights that were delayed yesterday. they have eaten up the access that was created from that. as we look now at the big board it's not very big. the flights that are out there have those magic words attached "on time." getting the flights out of here. we do see significant delays but they are really on either cotion. you -- coast. you can't blame the delays. >> harris: i only counted six flights they did say on time. chicago catching a break but what about the rest are of the midwest? >> in terms of weather. the rest of the midwest got clobbered. wisconsin really got clobbered in dain county where madison is, up to 20 inches of snow. iowa sees snow that rivals the records they set in 2009 or the levels they set in 2009. you have also got tens of thousands of people without power and that's because the wind gusts got up to 50 miles per hour, harris. >> that is tough. it's pretty chilly to be without electricity. we know that all too w
